Bedini Energizers cannot be used on normal charged batteries

Hi I want to clarify this cause I used my bedini on batteries but when these batteries are used on engines to start found that are not good. In one of the tutors of bedini he states that if you charge them with bedini energizer don't charge them with normal chargers cause you loose everything.
Is this true?
