i hope this is the right place to post this.

the purpose of this thread is to obtain information as to the origin of two books that i saw when i was a child.
seeing these books has intrigued me for my entire adult life, and i have never been able to find out anything about them.

the only way i know how to describe them is by relating the story.
sorry.  i will try to keep it short.
this story is 100% true.

when i was about 9 or 10 years old, i had a friend who lived with his grandmother.  when we first began our friendship; i remember hearing his grandfather cough incessantly from a bedroom, and he passed away a few months after that.

My friend was catholic, as was i, and we met in catholic school.  his grandfather was a "knight of Columbus", which is a service organization for catholic men.  they are the ones that hold the swords up when the pope comes to town.

one day while in my friend's basement, we were looking for something to do, and we came across a large box containing his grandfather's knights of columbus uniform, hat and sword.
we of course thought it was the coolest thing ever and toted the box to my friend's room where we could explore it further.

here is where things get weird.  after emptying the box of all its clothing and silk sashes; we noticed that the bottom of the box looked as if there was a panel over it.  we removed this cardboard panel and underneath were two books.

these books were 8.5x11 in. and softback.  they looked to be between 50-70 pages long.  they were white with bold black ink on the cover, and typeset inside.  there was no color printing and the paper was quite yellowed.

i think i remember that one of the books was called "The Sacred Circle", and inside it, there was a passage called "Commanding the Cosmos".
i do not remember the title of the other book.

we tried to read through it, but it was all over our young heads.
we decided to go upstairs and ask his grandmother what these books were all about.
we showed the books to his grandmother and she immediately FLIPPED OUT!!!!
this was a sweet old woman about 70 years old if not more.  i had never seen her yell or scream about anything before, and we had given her plenty of reasons to do just that. LOL

she screamed at us not to touch other people's property, and quickly ran into her room and locked the door.
while we stood there bewildered, we heard her putting the books up in a closet or something.

we were so scared by her sudden change in demeanor, that we didnt ever try to look for those books again, but ever since, i have wondered about what they were exactly.

being that my friends grandfather was a devout catholic and knight of columbus, you would figure he would not be involved in freemasonry or other secret societies, so what could these have been?

why did his grandmother completely lose it upon seeing them???

this has bothered me for almost 30 years now, and if anyone can shed some light on this i would very much appreciate it.

i have googled both titles and can find nothing online about them.

I can understand your curocity but did your grandfather commanded the cosmos to do
anything spectacular? If not then perhaps they did not contain anyhing useful!
