what would you pay for a high quality piezoelectric Gong? I am just curious at this point because I know how to make piezoelectric crystals in large quantities.

please help me out here because I don't want this discussion to go dead, if I built huge piezoelectric gongs for you, simply breath on them or hit them with a Q tip and they would sing! and produce electrical energy.

I know of a particular alloy that returns most of the energy from impact, up to a hundred times more, it is called liquid metal alloy. liquid metal alloy and piezoelectric combined.

Just curious.

Sounds interesting.  But I don't buy anything I can't see ;)   So maybe some pics please?

right now it is just an educated thought. A normal gong of say 60 inches in diameter with stand would go for about 3 to 6 grand for its quality of workmanship but a piezoelectric gong would go for a lot more. maybe twice that price. the growing and fabrication of the piezoelectric crystals and the production of the crystals onto its surface for development.

I am fearing there would be a cost factor that would cause a dead lock in this kind of production. this is why I was asking.

some facts on liquid metal alloy.

the cost maybe to far out of range for conventional use. using liquid metal that is. but a metal of this nature is most desired.
