here is a very interesting new engine design from Bob Campbell.

He emailed me this PDF file with the construction drawings and descriptions,
as he was not able to post it himself.

It's hard to tell from the sketch what this guy has in mind... Better, more detailed and dimensioned drawing would help. :D

Hi if you read the description a couple of times you should get the idea, the pistons move independently from the cylinders and are not connected they just push  the cylinders back and forth through compression and combustion the cylinder is attached on one end to the gears that drive the shaft. the shift is stationary ever thing else moves back and forth in a frame on bearing.
