It looks to me as if the red wire may be terminated on the green / yellow earth ground terminal in the plastic enclosure? Its difficult to see clearly as it runs under the grenade coil wire terminations.

Please show where (by photo clip) you think the red wire from the Tesla coil is terminated to the grenade wire.

Thanks. OK, so you are saying as I think, that Ruslan's red wire terminates to the main earth ground wire. However, this is not as shown here on the schematic you posted. Therefore, should we assume that the common ground bus for the Tesla coil circuitry should be connected to the main earth ground at the top of the circuit diagram?

Never follow blindly Russian diagrams For me it is natural as every single public circuit had to be corrected from day 1 of my experience in electronics.
