  That's right, it wasn't easy...

  The main thing was to not use an additional Kacher transistor circuit, but to take advantage of the existing HV from the grenade's output, to feed the adjusted Tesla/Kacher coils. Some how.  I've already done it, it just wasn't the right frequency, so it made no difference. 
100Khz off...  and no cigar.

Are we, have i missed something, did i drift off to sleep ?

The 'magic' tesla resonant coil, the one under the yellow tape,
1/. it's frequency, find it's wave length, why is that ?
2/. 1/4 wave so find number of turns for that frequency
3/. find correct spacing between turns.
4/. feed it with with correct tuned wave.
5 Any one got that far ?

Or are we all off on one ?

You will need strongest signal from Tesla coil as possible for grenade coil receiver.

The power output seems very low (0.76W for Itsu's supply - 130V across 22K - 6mA) but presumably sufficient to drive the Kacher correctly? This PSU's output voltage is highly load dependent and the output voltage could rise very high without loading, depending on choice of transformer, so a suitably voltage rated cap is needed.

I've tried both PWM and Mazilli but found the Mazilli is difficult to current control without heavily choking the supply line, which is very inefficient.

not sure i follow you.

When activating the kacher (throwing the switch), the input current changes from 90mA to 1A (@ 25V), so the Kacher is pulling about 24W, but with very low duty cycle.
