This is a test rig I made to tune and peek a Tesla coil this coil is one I made to experiment with a few years a go now it likes 1.67 mhx aprox, i used a 74HS14 os osc with a 1nf tuning cap so i can get a base frequency of 432 hz multipal f of 8 and 9 and 432hz with no remainder

Wonder what coil like this would do to the room air when Tesla interrupter is attached and tuned to the maximum ionisation around the coil... We require static the Tesla coil like from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Van_de_Graaff_generator but in controlled fashion so the charges can be collected on the grenade coil.

it's interesting you should ask that as if i put it  on it's side next to my grenade coil the static is absorbed by the other coil around the grenade and the resonant frequency drops to 1.2 mhz .

Also if I power the grenade seperatly and monitor the output i get 3 waveform harmonics just like the grenade shape but sine waves. But a different resonant f to the Tesla coil. (10m 5m 2.5m x2)

One question for you many rigs use old tv lopt for the static with a positive out thus an acceleration simulation in hight but this coil is fluctuating pos/neg ac wont that have a canceling effect ?
