There is an interesting update in PJKBook on the Kapanadze coil on page 3-107:

It is hard to believe that this piece of physics has been known at least since Meyer's experiments (around 1975) but it is speculated that Tesla and later Hubbard knew this as well."
The more I read this article, the more I understand it, the more I think that Bill has it right. Bill’s approach is physics based. This article is going to break the deadlock. Read it again and again, both parts. It is really worth it. I like the second coil in particular.

It's this and he is referring to TK copying the idea it's there on the page 'free' to use!
One can only experiment since it has no ownership as such!

You could try and ask Grum nicely if he can knock you one up and cross his palm with silver 
there is more on the page but that might well be copyright and most certainly has a patent.

Also the other TK I noticed what looked like a top ring on a Tesla coil with no gap I got no feedback!
but who knows.

Absolutely! it's the 'C' cores in a 3 phase block variety to go for 'Russian' if you can get one
