Hi guys, after my 2 years absence from this forum , I'm back.
Sorry for highjacking the thread.
For the new members: 2 years ago i've worked on Sergey Alexeev device with controlled Tesla pulser and not with Katcher.
Due to the daily life issues i've sold all my equipment, oscilloscope, spectrum analyser and the signal generator.
In the last 2 nights i had trouble sleeping and i was thinking what have I missed in this experiments and now i really need your input.
What is the self resonance of the grenate coil without inductor over it , if any of you can measure it , and also what is the self resonance frequency of the grenate with the inductor coil over it with its ends free.
I'm asking you this because i've lost all my log data from my measurements
If i can remember it was something between 4-6 Mhz , can anyone give me a real measurement?
When I will have some input data from you .. i will tell you something

It depends on which coil grenades you want to measure because there are two different versions:
1. all layers in one direction (800-1000uH)
2. 2 CW and 4 CCW layers (120-200uH)

Yes, I made one of them it took me a while to find what I did with it, it has some notes still with it,

it's 40 m long but 0.5 meters is taken up with 0.25 in each of both the trailing ends so it's only 39.5 in the coil,
the inductance is 265 micro henrys the first 2 layers are CW and the rest ate CCW
How I wound it once I took out the 2 0.25m spills I fou2nd the center of what was left
and then wound the first 2 layers with the one half and then divided what was left equally
for the remaining sections and wound the other layers. Clear as mud? it tunned to 31.5 khz and used 96.333nf to tune it
then i got peek output in the inductor on the scope.
How it's supposed to work who knows because I couldn't get it to work nor the catcher.

Oh yeah the inductor end winding  is 131 mh and 10 m long i used a 779.49 nf to tune it to 1.983mhz

Hallo Zalmoxis   here the resonance frequency without an inductor over it  ..

Its about 1,55 MHz    the first 2 layers are wound CCW  and the other 4 layers  CW if you look at it from the right .

See picture.   And the osciloscope probe is set to 10 X    to have minimum capacitance.

Zalmoxis what do you mean with "Inductor" ..  is that the big coil in the video that should actually  induce the High Voltage pulses.
