Last week i got to see a real Katcher type tesla coil it was running on 12 volts  and it was amazing if not leathal.

  And, fairly useless, unless you get off on watching energy being wasted into space.

  Here is Adrian Guska showing his simple Kacher type self runner. Doing what all the complicated controllable Kacher circuit (made here), have not been able to do. So, is this why he was killed???  I sure would like to know.

I'm not sure about that it looked like he was pulling it from the ground as he could light
a large incandescent lamp with the ground feed and it didn't appear to be drawing any more current.
And the streams were still active.

   It may have "looked like" he is pulling energy out of the ground. But, he's not. The ground just makes a better path, for almost any circuit. Any way, if you put a diode on the ground line, it will show you which way the energy is going, to the ground, not from it. If you don't believe it, try it yourself. You will also find that those systems are current hogs, and inefficient.

Thanks for your comments, however I would like to know if by experiment, could you power up just your katcher
and assuming it has some corona acceleration discharge leakage at its top winding end, try with no earth connected,
then connect a small low power mains filament bulb between one of the battery terminal connections and  either pos or neg and earth, the thing is does the lamp light ?

If you have the phenomena it should light up or glow and report back.
