you asked me to display some of my work I knocked this up five or more years ago,
your lucky i fished it out (her indoors) likes to bin (dispose) of stuff that in the cow shed junk pile   

It works off 12 volts as that made it easy yo get going with out being shocked is it likes a good 110 if you can get the bulbs.

The top bulb is in series with the 12 volts it has 3.7 across it (when lit)
and the lower one the output has about 2.1 volts across it with a volt meter at 55hz

Oh and the 2 black things that look like batteries are capacitors Electronics 220ufd 450 volts. (electrolytic caps don't like that sort of environment any way on one half cycle one cap is charged on the other half it's consumed by the light, the other cap is 180 deg out of phase SO IT'S NOT FREE, caps do strange things when pumped ! simple.
but what the hell (make em suffer no easy life with me this week



Oh and it's a self runner, you pug it in and turn it on with two restive loads and it self runs !!
Work all that out
