I have the same the issue as well lighting a 220volt on 60watt bulb which the output was very dim compared to a 1000watt 220volt Halogen bulb.

Looks like "Impedance matching" is gonna play vital role in our future successful replication of ou device beside getting resonance. ;)






Indeed for the impedance match!

We have to remember that the filaments of an halogen and of a bulb are both coils but of different structure and forms.

Would be very great if we could predict even before pluging the load, its behaviour, just by knowing its nominal and industry caracteristics  ::)

That's probably Geo's friends come to say hello and wish us all a merry Xmas. However, I didn't think the visit was planned until April 1 next year, so its probably a fake. On the other hand they may have come early to whisk him off for Xmas celebrations on planet Zog.  ;D

You should know by now that smoking is bad for your health. Thankfully, those rose coloured specs protected your eyes.  ;)

Seriously though, make sure you have the 5W zeners on before you re-try with 24V using the IRF250's. Also, if you intend to run a 1000W halogen tube, your mosfet heat sinking will need to be improved. Use a 12V PC fan to provide additional cooling and if possible increase the size of your heat sinks.

Geo is probably still working to get his motor / generator self-running, ready for a Christmas video special.  :)

So how long have you run your Mizzilli on a 12V, 7A/hr SLAB battery with a 230V / 1000W halogen tube load, pulling around 17 Amps from fully charged down to 11V? Maybe we should run a competition to establish a benchmark for future experimenters.  ;D
