Still here!! Looking in from time to time.

The UK is experiencing it's second decent Summer in a row !!    I am making the most of it by spending some time in the Workshop with my mechanical "Head on"  !!

   I would love to see Hoppy get his Mazilli crt going again, or connect the yoke to a nano pulser unit,  and all connected to the Akula-Ruslan type air coils core. Pre concieved, or not...
Or maybe Itsu, or anyone else with a adjustable pulser unit.

As I pointed out some time ago, I have no intention of attempting to replicate any of these latest self running circuit claims until there is much better evidence that there is something special about any of them by way of properly conducted measurement and well structured and presented demonstration. I have spent far too much time and money already on chasing rainbows.

Does anyone know if Akula posted a schematic anywhere for the attached LED 'lantern' circuit?
Can a decent copy of this schematic be found anywhere? I want to try to experiment with this circuit
if I can find a schematic. This is the Akula self running eight LED lantern circuit with the large square shaped ferrite core on it.

Added later: Ok, I found this thread, which has posted schematics, but it seems it was not certain
what the exact circuit was, as Akula apparently didn't post the schematic for lantern 3.

  Well, what can I say... Wild geese, anyone?  You've got to chase them, to catch them though.
Or buy them.

  I figure that by the time that all that verification, documentation and such happens, the Chinese will be selling these devices cheaper than what it will cost us to can make our own.

   One thing that I noticed on the yoke's secondary output coil that Itsu is using, is that there are no tuning caps on that coil, only on the primary coil, on Mazilli side. Without all the proper caps on both primary and secondary coils of the yoke core, to achieve the best resonance, the output may not be optimized. ,And without optimized output from all coil, and circuits, the chances of a self runners are slim.

Are you suggesting that the 'special' mode with its high current consumption and hot mosfets, is in some way important to achieve as a stepping stone to self-running and if so, why?

Could this "special" mode be a case of spurious
oscillations?  Certain vacuum tube oscillators, and
now MOSFET oscillators too, are susceptible to such
operation if the grid/gate leads are positioned in
certain ways or the leads are too long and pick up
spurious excitation.

The cure for this mode was a resistor or ferrite
bead at the grid connection in the case of the
vacuum tube, or neutralization of the plate
connection in severe cases.  For MOSFET
circuits a ferrite bead at the gate will in
most cases suppress the mode.

In some cases it is a power supply problem
such as "motorboating" which indicates that
the filter capacitor has lost its capacity.

The spurious oscillation is an unstable mode and
generally detracts from desired circuit operation.

Apparently the modern terminology for this
condition is "parasitic oscillation."
