Otherwise, you'll be trying to make these drivers, for another several years. And spend hundreds or thousands of dollars for scopes, signal generator, frequency counters, power supply, batteries, etz...

   We can talk about how simple this all is, or how the waves and frequencies are supposed to work.
   I'm betting that it's not the PLL, or PWM, or special components that are needed.
  That is why I'm waiting to see the result of Geo's tests, to see if this push-pull set up is really needed or not, just to see the effect of the superimpositioning. Then, after that,  I would continue on seeing what else is needed to make it work in a stable fashion.
   Trying to Run before you can walk, is not a good move.

As engineer I can't accept that you can use the grenade based on length of wire. The inductance element because of the windings will modify the freq of the resonance. Windings in the same direction will decrease, in opposite direction (bifilar) increase the resonance (and standing wave) freq. (and there is parasitic capacitivity among the wire sections and between the ground and the grenade)


You can check (I have done) it by a long wire without winding it (for example 37.5m), then modifying the shape of the wire, and do winding (normal and bifilar) as well. It is needed to excite the wire from a generator by a little antenna and measure the resonance point by a scope. The point of resonance will differ significantly. It is similar than the radio amateur example: make ã wire antenna longer by additional inductance.


In my opinion the freq of Ruslan's grenade came from the length of wire and the structure of windings (another question is the role of the ground, the length of the grounding wire).

If you deal with as with it as wave guide for antenna things will start falling into place..Just SWR should more than 1 on grenade coil as you want maximum reflection happening inside of it between transmitter (tesla coil) and earth ground (inverse antenna).

I tend to agree with you that Tariels device was almost certainly devoid of complex electronics, other than maybe the junk boards used as eye candy. There is a distinct possibility that Ruslan / Oleg have also disguised the important and simple functionality, so unless replicators enjoy constructing more sophisticated electronic circuitry and have the necessary knowledge base, finances and test equipment, then its probably not an essential or advisable route to follow.
