   Notice that he further adjust the frequency at times in the previous video, by adding another smaller 0.22uf cap in parallel to the two 0.47uf caps, for three tuning caps in all, at about 1.2uf total.  Of course your set up may work differently.

  Magpwr:  The inside "choke" is not a Tesla coil. It is a based on the Hendershot coil system, and it had 50 turns of insulated wire connected only to the small tuning cap.
You are looking at a coil used in the testing of the previous non-self running device.

  What's going on is that that coil is not the one that Akula later used on the first self runner.
  That was his previous try at obtaining HV. But, later he used the isolated Hendershot style 50 turns coil/capacitor and an aluminum sheet coiled up inside the pvc pipe, without any magnet wire below it. This was what MenofFather mentioned that Akula had said,  that this "choke" could also be made using even more turns, like 300, or so. 

  That older TL494 circuit board is what I believe that GeoFusion had replicated, and he may have the schematic for it, as well.  Looks simple enough, if it works, that is.
