here my replication

I was awaiting a good occasion to finally build  the flyback Mazilly ROYER oscillator , and this experiment push me to finally complete it

it seems to work correctly, on   12 volts and more , i can light incandescent bulbs  (not fully lit  ) with a ratio of each  flip- flop as per Geofusion indication

The tuning capacitor seems to be  very important  and i have to test much more  different settings.

Far from being OU at my level, i have to test much more

My yoke is a standard old TV

Hi Laurent ,

Awesome work ! You managed and yes the capacitor plays a big role and  is a very important part. I used 0.33uF  630V poly caps.
Should put more lights in parallel to see how it manages to hold for a try (=, or try halogens 300W , 500W or 1kW.

remember to watch out for shortings, it will damage or kill the circuit one shot, that is how Sensitive it is.

Please also use a scope if you have one, to measure supply current using a shunt resistor and if at all possible post a shot of the full scope screen so that other experimenters can see data like the Pk-Pk and RMS voltages across the shunt resistor of a specified value. Its of paramount importance that experimenters use methods of measurement that are fit for purpose. Without this data, device efficiency and performance comparisons are not possible to determine.
