Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

  Guys:
I've been having some problems lately with the mosfets. I've replaced the ones that I had on the device and can't get it to work now at all.
The current Fets that are not working are:
# LT 448
  MBR20100CT

They also have two arrows pointing at each other with a circle in the center of them.
Please let me know if this kind of mosfet is not suitable.
Or do I have to change the polarity, or something.
                                                          Thanks,
                                                                       NickZ

Those are not MOSFET. MBT20100CT is a 20A /100V Schottky diode, and LT448 I don't know for sure what it is but most like not mosfet.
If you have a old malfunctioning UPS you will find inside suitable MOSFETS for your experiment.

@nickZ:

Its a double schottky, not a mosfet.

Dear Nick.

Do you have any 2N3055's ? As I have been getting some good results with those!! There is however a good consolation at least you have got some good current high speed diodes.  :)

Cheers Grum

Hey Grum,

In short, running that YOke with FETs you get 80 or so p-p primary, aand when run by BJT with fast parallel diodes, behaviour does not change ( as originlaly) and get 200 p-p? Do i understand it correct?

What about frequency? Mosfet specs? Where you attribute this?
cheers

Dear baroutologos.

No not quite correct. Present setup is with BJT's (MJE15030), 680 nF poly cap, 30 turns 22 SWG ECW per limb. Single 25 turn 18 SWG ECW secondary across split cores.(No diodes)

Now this evening I discovered that one of my probes was faulty!! So I have now re checked my results. With 12V dc I can still achieve 95 V p/p across C1. It was the output probe that was faulty, with that changed I am seeing 30/40 V p/p (NOT HUNDREDS!!) on the secondary.

I also re checked  the HS diode situation and can now confirm that with their addition they do reduce the voltage across C1 by 5 volts!!

I hope you find the information of use?

Cheers Grum.

So let's see if I can interpret this correctly:
Ch1 = Voltage across C1 (and across both halves of the primary winding).
Ch2 = Voltage across the secondary winding.
Ch3 = Current flowing in one primary winding half.

Somehow, I have a feeling I had gotten your description wrong.
Even if I'm not wrong, the horizontal timebase (in μs/division) and each channel vertical scale (in Volts/division) are missing anyway.

For the future, please state the resistance of any CSRs used to measure current. Today I know that these CSRs are 0.1Ω but others might not know that if annotated schematic is not included.
Is your scope capable of multiplying Ch1 * Ch2 ?

Dear Verpies.

Yes to all 3. And I do apologise for removing the all important data!! I thought you just wanted to see the offset!

Alas, my replacement 0.1 CSR's have arrived but because I have a ground connection on one side of them I now can't look at the voltage across C1! Third ground. Any suggestions?

As for the Scope it is a Fluke PM 3092 without a manual!! So I don't know whether you can multiply Ch1 and 2.

Cheers Grum.

Ok, thanks for the info guys, no wonder I couldn't get anywhere with them (diodes). Nice to hear that they are good for something else, though.
I'll check my old pc power supplies for some Fets, but it looks like I may have to buy some, instead. LOL.... I hate it when that happens...
