Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

   Hoppy, Itsu, Geo, and All:
The best performance that I was able to obtain was when using the IRF 620/630 fets. Most all others have gone up in smoke instantly, or popped the whole top off of the plastic case.
Most fets will NOT WORK for this, and is why I've been having all these burn out problems, as have most other people that are trying to replicate this type of device.
I've burnt out all my fets, in trying to make this work, and the dead fets or transistor pile is still growing.
Radio Shack here does not carry the IRF 260 or similar mosfets, and this has been my ongoing problem, as any other fets just has not worked for me.
However, I have found a cheap source of them:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-x-IRFP250-IRFP250N-Power-MOSFET-N-Channel-30A-200V/250876360770?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D18059%26meid%3D2920452072925879364%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D8304%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D130874846718%26

But, this parts order may not happen for a while still. So, I may have to use some of Radio Shacks IRF510 instead, as they are about the only ones that I can get here.
Using the right fets for this purpose, is the main concern for this circuit. And obtaining a WORKING FEED-BACK PATH, is what it all depends on, for any practical circuit useability.
Igor does mention that the commercially available inductor heaters are better than any of the homemade ones that he has tried up to now.
Someone has commented that they were able to loop-back their pure sign wave inverter to power the commercial induction hob. That is probably what we really need to do.
Keep an eye out for Igor's ongoing videos on this subject.
Hoppy, as soon as I hear from Geo, concerning the best circuit  diagram to use, I'll try to replicate it as best as I can.

Hi Magpwr / All,

i finally received my 47N60C3 MOSFETs (5), and put them into my Mazzilli osc., but they popped instantly using only a 12V battery (7Ahr)  :(
I tried this severall times untill most where gone, so they don't work in this circuit 1 to 1 :o

Putting back my IRFP260N's it worked again as normal.

Looking at the main spec's of the both MOSFETs, not much difference is seen else then the higher Drain/Source voltage of the SPW47N60C3:

Vds 650V
Rds(on) 0.07 Ohm
Id 47A

compared to the IRFP260N:

Vds 200V
Rds(on) 0.04 Ohm
Id 50A

So it must be in some other parameter which make them unsuitable for this circuit as it seems they won't oscillate and put the gate wide open (need a higher then 470 Ohm gate resistor?)
On all damaged MOSFETs, the drain/source junction was shorted permanently.

Anyway, this shows that not all MOSFETs can be used in this circuit, be aware.

Regards Itsu

hi itsu and everyone

I will try out the 47N60C3 mosfets base on the recent circuit shown but i would start with lower zener diode maybe 5v6 or 5v1 and i would definately start with higher value 1kOhms instead of 470ohms with my HV transformer.
I will report finding this Tuesday 26th Nov.
The only time i had lost 2 mosfets out of 10 when i forgot to connect the mosfet gate and powered on and easily destroyed 2 mosfet.
-------------------------------
In the meantime since some of you may know i had plans to embark on few projects which i had mentioned previously. Then was long period of no experiment due to my home renovation project which took longer than usual.

List of project i would be working on
1)Project "GENE" shown in  JLN Labs using 2x  1000watt pure sinewave inverter instead of what was shown in site using 500watt.
I have recently posted in youtube base on my test on one of 1000watt pure sinewave inverter. This 1st stage of my GENE experiment -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtm17CtTpaY
(Please note the objective of this experiment is to reduce electricity bills and not ou)

2)Barium Ferrite Magnet order from China was a complete disaster it killed more than 2 months of my time(due to 2 weeks production lead time for 40 magnets for custom order and home renovation 1mth and waiting for response from sales).
After sending few hundreds in USD to a magnetic company in China via western union. The sales then mentioned before shipping out they found that 40 magnets(6" x4" x 1/2" thick) magnetic field is still too strong even though it was placed in a metal container hence it can't be shipped by air.The sales then suggested to opt for shipment via sea which i have no experience. Then there is one problem "company name" is needed for warehouse clearance before shipping item out.
I had suggested DHL or Fedex but i did not get any response on that at all.For some strange reason after long delayed response via email the sales then suggested i get refunded which i got back nearly the full amount.
FYI -Each magnet weight ~0.9kg x 40 pieces =nearly 40kg total(Magnet production cost was $100USD for 40 pieces, shipping out cost more due to weight).

There is 2 project related to Barium Ferrite magnet which i have plans to work on
1)Magnetic resonance amplifier (ou)  link http://www.rexresearch.com/mra/1mra.htm  The probability for this project to be successful is very high since i already had success with "Barium titanate" alone and tested with 3 inch bilfilar toroid 40turns which gave me ou in mW before i decide to place order on Barium Ferrite magnets.Barium Titanate junk was purchased of ebay.

2)Floyd Sweet's VTA device -There are some videos in youtube which shows us how to condition the magnets http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFarS-liuBY
Honestly i don't really know how start on this experiment at this moment.

---------------

3)Kapanadze device or similar related device SR193 or DON SMITH successful replication as presented in China. Please use google translate for this site below.
   http://user.qzone.qq.com/278885050/blog/1378191565#!app=2&via=QZ.HashRefresh&pos=1378191565
I need to purchase the copper tubes as shown in the above experiment.I have already received NST 12volts supply 7.5KV 25khz ..30khz from http://www.amazing1.com.
I have recently received additional HV caps for this experiment.

(I need to start searching for another Barium Ferrite magnet producer in China)

...and what happened?

Dear Verpies and all.

Alas, I am scope less, or hopeless or both!!  :)

My new, to me  Fluke PM 3092 has suddenly decided to loose it's trace and developed a high pitched whistle as the picture disappears!! Methinks a damaged flyback??

So until this fault is rectified ( cheaply, I hope ) all has ground to a halt.

Any ideas??

Cheers Grum.

I have an idea .......
for all the work you do in this community we buy you another ?

I put up 100.00 US towards repairs or a new scope.

No strings attached ,If you never post another thing here or elsewhere it does not matter to me .You are a very Good Man with the the best of intentions.

Thanks for all you do.

Whats for yah ne're go bye yah
Thanks Grandma

Nick,

What is the voltage and power rating of the zener diodes you are using?
