I started to collect some parts and put something together, but reading the last posts, i obviously do not fully grasp the working principle
so you might ignore some statements made in the video like about driving the kacher with half the TL494 frequency.

By the way, the kacher when free running (so not connected to the antenna coil) runs at 1.6Mhz, so close to the 1.8Mhz, but when connected
it drops to the shown 721KHz.

I first will build the tl494 circuit and the yoke so i can do some testing using my nanopulser, while waiting for the 7400/7414 parts.
But i need to know what this 7400/7414 circuit in combination with the kacher is suppose to do.

Ruslan did 2 versions... kacher doesn't have 7400/7414... the other version is a nanopulser like dally's system which uses 7400's or 7400/7414...
I've seen him say 'kacher is crap' and that he wanted to make another nanopulsed versions... but then he continues to show the kacher version.
and most of the videos recently he's been describing the working of the kacher system....


there's no deliberate sync...
I saw someone mention that the inductances would be nice to know... and reverse calculating from frequency/capacitance determined it should be about 250uH... which the kapnadze coil/driver coil is on my bench... i lack good capacitors

@itsu, perhaps pull a few winds off the secondary to increase the resonant freq on the kacher coil. Thus you can hit the operating frequency closer to the 1.8Mhz area.

Thanks starcruiser, but why is that important? What is it with this 1.8MHz operating frequency?  (66.6 times 27KHz?).

Hi Itsu. The 7414/7400 portion of the schematic seems to have been taken
from Akula's schematic for his second self runner. I believe Ruslan did some testing with
Akula's schematic and Ruslan said that circuit doesn't work. Probably the schematic does need 
some fixes or changes. I think Akula posts schematics which are not necessarily what he ended
up actually using. It may be close to what Akula used however.

If we assume that Rusian devices actually work as self-runners, then his less complicated circuit schematic neatly drawn by Brutto would seem a good initial approach for experimentation. One of Rusian's latest videos appears to be showing hand drawn schematics showing both a Kacher and spark gap approach to create a standing wave across the main multi-layer coil. I suspect that very fine tuning is needed to reach a suitable resonant condition and that this condition is unstable, thus the efforts made to introduce synch by Akula and Rusian. Its a reasonable assumption IMO that Kapanadze's devices did not feature any sophisticated synchronisation circuitry.
