  Thanks for the link to Ruslan's new video showing the grenade winding set up.

  I don't see the two final layers of 12, 12 turns in the video, on the end of the 48,48, 24,24, 12,12 turns that are shown in the Kapanadze coil diagram. So, I think that he just uses the first 4 layers, (48,48, 24, 24, without the last two layers of 12,12 turns.
  His smaller (resonator) coil on the grenade is not wound with 25, 25 turns, but possibly 12, 12 turns, instead.  Or, possibly 25, 12, 12, turns or so.
  What do you think...

  I've finished my "grenade" coil, and will proceed to connect it up to the 20 plus turns secondary coil of the yoke.
  The 12,12 turn resonator air coil will be connected to the yoke 3 turn coil.
And the Kacher, ferrite rod, and antenna will be connect up, as well.

I have re-posted my PWM waveforms as taken across C/E of my IGBT's. The waveforms shown in my previous post 5705 were incorrect as a result of a fault in my circuit build. Also, the code for the varistor shown should have read: B7221....., not BZ221...... Thanks to Itsu for pointing this out this error.


A shot of my IGBT's with diode clamp and snubber components is shown below. The IN5401 diodes have now been replaced with ultra fast diodes - STTH12R06DIRG.

Right, i agree, the 2 x 12 turns (or 15) is clearly visible, not sure why Nick says its missing.

More to notice is that the both coils (brown and blue/red/white) are oppositely wound.

Brown is: 2x48 CCW, 2x24  CW, 2x12 CW  while
other is: 2x48 CW?, 2x24 CCW, 2x12 CCW

I guess it does not matter really, but also, notice that the white coil on the Blue/red/white coil is 1x20t CCW,
meaning the same way as the 2x24 and 2x12 turns.

Nice squares, but nasty spikes.
Also no dead time?   Did you use the TL494, and if so did you hook up pin 3 via the 3.3K to ground and/or pin 5 via 1nF to ground?

Remember the coils length is governed by Wavelength, i.e. what is the harmonic you are shooting for? Tune the length of the wire to that or a harmonic of that. Thus if the coil looks like it has a different length that is because he is tuning the "grenade" coil to match the output of the HV pulse section (transmitter). the air core coils are not inductive as you think of them as a transformer per se' but like an antenna.

IMO the matching of the coils/antennas will be the challenge for most.
