I think the guy is getting desperate to allay the growing suspicions of many of his viewers. From the various video shots  of his workshop, he has clearly spent much money on components, enclosures and wire / cable etc., presumably with the view to at some point sell devices to those punters that believe he has produced self-runners. What's Akula up to these days? Not heard much from his camp.

I might be harsh but the speculations  getting to ridiculous point. Ruslan have own radio station business and never needed to sell anything. Also due Russian language 99% of explanations are missing out from videos for English speakers. Also he spent too much time already proving for naysayers and fighting with forum trolls.  It Looks like Ruslan Kulabuhov is an ideologue: a person who believes very strongly in particular principles and tries to follow them carefully.
As he is just beyond money, to him it just  the jurney  to a principle that he belives very  profoundly.  He is that  "geek"  who has all of his burden only on him and NOT wanting help form his critics..
