Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

The micro will get zapped by the high voltage nano pulse unless you encase it in a shielded box, i has trouble with a 16F84 it didn't like it, it erased the code at one point, ;) think it's called Electro Magnetic Pulsing.

Good day All

Here are a couple of photos of my ATTiny85 interrupter used on my PLL-SSTC.   It will produce a variable frequency / variable *gate* pulse with variable DeadTime between *gated* pulse packets (software pwm)...........

It runs connected to the SSTC mother board power supply and signal coupling thru a Sharp PC-17c opto.  Next version to use Toshiba Toslink fiber optics for signal coupling.

No problems with E.M.I. interference at all...........  Runs the SSTC like a champ.

P.S. think that the TupperWare is the trick here to EMI shielding ;D

take care, peace

... but still I'd like to see you folks who have room to refine your techniques, set up the circuits properly, and perform some proper experiments with them.

Okay, maybe you could help me in understanding this one...

The primary on a Tesla coil, it has to be tuned just like the secondary.  The primary needs to work with the driver connected to it.  This is where I have a bit more factors then I'm able to incorporate into a single design.

I've seen all sorts of primary setups, loose coupling, tight coupling, thin wire, fat wire, big copper pipes, pancake style, normal coiled style and even some in between that flare out as they spiral up.

The current setup I have, seems to like a thin wire, pancake wrap with loose coupling.  I do not understand why this is.  The only thing I can figure is the skin effect of the small wire somehow reduces the amperage to where it matches pretty close to the IRFP460A MOSFET I'm driving it with.  Any other configurations I try leads to horrible looking waveforms with poor power transfer.

So TK, can you assist me a little in progressing in just this one little area for starters?  My hope is that I can understand this just a little better so I'll have a decent reference point to work from.

Thanks in advance.

Here it is how to be a reflection of the cable to ground

the red tape lies flat copper!  fulfilling the role of  (I think that this is a short-wave antenna height has no grounding rods, aluminum)
and it was there a few turns FINE TUNE  Have any of you had experience with this knows what I mean.
the second is a very important issue Ruslan talked about the course of pulse powinnien look like when transistor opens and it's not like you think IRF260 or IRF460 and even 2SC5200 .
It uses the last film of the high voltage transistor and tells how and why it is a signal to other transistors does not work!

to Kacher made the best 2SC5200 but not to Tesla.

Pulses we have with our driver can not be deformed and as ringing tone at the beginning of the peak when the coil is high as it renders

  Tomtech:
I don't understand what you are trying to say.
"to Kacher made the best 2SC5200 but not to Tesla".

Dog-One:  I've had the same problem you mentioned concerning the Kacher primary coil. I at first made mine just like the Akula or Ruslan's design, but, it would not allow the transistor to oscillate. So, I had to try out several different primary coil sizes, and types, to find one that would works best. I settled on the 3 turns one that I've been showing lately. This might be due to the differences in the transistor, between one type of transistor, and another type.
I also tried a IRFP260N for the Kacher driver, but had no luck with it. I don't know what I did to make it burn out.
But, if a mosfet works better than a transistor, why has Ruslan not used them?  Or has he? As it's hard to tell.

There Ruslan speaks about good ground support for Tesla coil. Without thick cable you will get losses on GND which will also gradually reduce power transmission on top load and you won't get effect.
