You asking, why he changed wire? Or why winding is diferent? If about winding, then he explain, that that better, then wave gose to one direction.

This summer I assembled high power nanosecond generator based on DSR diode and saturable core, which was discussed on this thread some long time ago. Because this circuit is not so obvious, I created short document with all data needed for building such a device with common elements. Also short theoretical explanation is included, as well as tuning procedure. I wrote this paper mainly for myself not to forget this interesting circuit, so it is in polish. For those interested in the field it should not be so hard to translate it.

Nice stand alone device Andrian that carrot you keep dangling in front of us, your English is better than my Russian I'm sure, Is there any chance you can show how we/ I can make that device for myself it would be great for an outside light ? I'm not realy one for reinventing the wheel, It's the coils that might be the problem as you have to follow everything exactly or it doesn't work. Any chance you can help us out ?
