Interesting video about different standing wave resonance and LC resonance in a Tesla Coil.

Donald Smith always said coils have to be able to talk to each other by 1/4 wave resonance or by the length of the wires from the coils being an even divsion or multiplication from each other.

Might be interesting ...  it looks like the standing wave resonance freq.  doesnt change much if the variable capacitor is turned ... but the LC res freq  does  change significantly than.

What can we learn from this or what can we do with this fenomena , how can we use these effects in the future.

Can we wind a coil where the LC res freq  can be the same as the standing wave res freq ...

Hi Nick Z, some time back you were asking about drawing energy from the EARTH here is a device I have been playing around with for some time
it interfaces an old mains filter bifilar wound transformer from an old RGB display driving the guts of an LED lamp, it is being driven by Tesla's hair pin circuit that's driven by a HV MOS FET
high voltage device and square wave driver circuit current is 0.088amp and 14,14 volts = about 1,25 watts.

If I remove the Earth the current goes up to 100ma and the light dies completely, thought you might be interested,

I don't take any originality claim to the idea or circuit but part of the circuit belongs to others so I can't disclose as it has already been in a sauce of contention by another not playing fair,

what you don't realise is most of the current is driving the FET.
