Hi guys.
A modulated signal can easily be created as Itsu have said, by using two frequencies slightly different. That is the classic beat which is not necessarily related to standing waves.
In the case of grenade, as Conico have said we have two coils which differ in length. Each part has each own srf (MHz), so a signal which is in the middle in terms of frequency will make them create a beat. That happens because of the reflections that take place at the connection point due to the different impedances that the signal has to pass through. Stalker had advised us to use a mosfet driver for driving the inductor coil so to see those reflections as there is the need of a certain voltage threshold for them to take place and being visible.

I will have to sort of re wind my experimental device Toroid windings.
if you know Mixing frequency's it would be easy to do the TL494 's job with HC devices while they are still available and lock in the katcher frequency.
any way i have another idea thanks to Itsu's wake up call, i will let you know.
