Was looking into doing some work with induction and stumbled on this recent video by a tinkerer.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGxdM2JCLrE&

He is afraid (justly so) about the 2inch spinning magnet flying off the flowerpot and stops it near 6000rpms.

Just thought I put this out here as is. He titled it "maybe Newman like motor" but I do not see anything related to rapid polarity changes.

I would appreciate it if you veterans could have a look and give your thoughts on the observed effect please.

First questions come to mind

- Anyone recognize what type of magnet assembly this is?
- Standard copper wire coil - what type?
- Anybody recognize the man in the video?
- Can we contact him?

Invite him on the forum

Thanks

Grabbed the video just in case it disappears. I also left a message on his channel.

Tom has been here before - I just spent some time reading his posts and seeing other videos.

So nothing special about this 2inch spinning Neo held over a coil connected to a bendini circuit (appearantly)?

Something pulling 0.9 watts making a magnet accelerate like that? Wonder what you can generate if you put a load on the shaft.
