Why should we laugh at ourselves? An event as large as this should be studied with the most knowledge and data we can find. The 9/11 case was ended prematurely, and many people just want to know why. Many people want to continue the case because they feel the government stopped far to early. The true question is why do people want to stop the truthers from studying and presenting their data, when it is the truthers right to do so?

You are mistaken.  I strongly defend anyone's right to present a viewpoint, especially in such a peaceful way as an Internet forum.  I am simply debating that viewpoint by presenting contradicting evidence.

Look, there are always going to be holes in any story.  Truthers want to fill these holes with something sinister.  I believe that the official story is largely correct.  We have direct evidence of planes hitting buildings.  We have the people on those planes missing.  We have many structural engineers that conclude that the way the buildings fell is plausible.  We do not have alot of data about other skyscrapers collapsing from plane impact because (surprise), this kind of thing does not happen very often.  Truthers use any uncertainty to say, "aha, it may not have happened this way."  That just does not cut it as far as convincing the masses.

If nothing else, hell, a conspiracy like this had to have taken at least a year, if not far longer to plan.  9/11 occurred eight months into the Bush presidency.  Do the math.  You think Clinton was up to this?

Not to mention..."The Bush administration had prior reports that this might take place."  Yes, they did...BUT, they received at the same time over 200 other reports of terrorist plans.  20/20 hindsight is always clear.  These people blindsided us and there is no sense in crying about it.  It happened.  My opinion is to take whatever steps needed so it never happens again.  If anyone here knows anyone in the intel business, they will tell you that there are always threats, the drill is to determine which threats might be "credible" at any given time.  They missed this one but, I don't see anything sinister about that.

At the same time, I enjoy even the most twisted, far out, theories.  I revel in the fact that we live in a country where these ideas can be brought forth.  I don't trust our government 100%, I don't trust any government 100%.  We have plenty of history where our government has lied, or covered up something...it is just my opinion that this is not one of them.  Now, if you want to talk Kennedy.........
