I agree cap.  Part of taking care of local politics is electing independent representatives.  You also have to ensure that the local broadcasters are using the public airwaves properly... too many fill up the day with Rush and Hannity.  Blatant, biased, propaganda like that dies not serve the public interest.

Turn off you TV.  Teach your kids real history and civics.  Register to vote.  Elect honest, intelligent people to represent you interests - and replace them every election.
Concentrate on State government - America is still (technically) a union of states.
Buy a gun.

Attend local government meetings.  Make it clear to police that you do not pay them to write you seatbelt tickets.  It may be the law... but you pay their salary.
Fight to overturn seatbelt laws and all other revenue generators that make your police force armed tax-collectors (instead of public servants) - besides, living with laws like that are creating a generation of people who are desensitized to government infringing on our rights.

Demand transparency in government.

Again - turn off you TV.

Rush and Hannity are the only ones out there speaking the truth!  The biased liberal media has been controlling, and spinning, the information so long that people don't even recognize the truth when you see it.  Think for yourselves people, don't just drink the kool-aid of the liberal media and vote for socialists to destroy our country even more than they already have.  The liberals want our guns, and to raise taxes, and to destroy our healthcare system, and give everyone the same.  that is socialist and Marxist so if you want that, go to Russia or Cuba.  See how it is working there....it isn't.  Don't destroy what made this country great in the first place.  You people need to think with your own brain, not propaganda from Hillary or the racist Obama.  I am not telling you who to vote for because I don't know.  I do know who it isn't.

They are all serving one master...and it isn't us...the only thing we control is which overseer will take advantage of us.

Its kinda like the actors on the soap and wrestling operas who switch from hero to villian roles as the script or Vince McMahon dictates.
