Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

The reality is somewhat different. The 50mpg comes from laboratory tests, which were used in all old advertisements. Only after customers claimed that they never reached those numbers, they (automakers) revealed that that was laboratory tests, not real road tests. Today's advertisements use the new way: real-actual-road test.

"One last fuel-economy tidbit: Don't even think of comparing EPA figures with standardized fuel-economy tests from other countries because the test cycles are very different. For example, the European highway rating, called "extra urban," is higher than the EPA's by about 30 percent, so a rating on that cycle of, say, 60 mpg, would be closer to 40 in this country. The mainstream press, not realizing the difference, often complains that automakers refuse to bring efficient models here when, in fact, they may not be all that efficient when measured by U.S. standards."

"The government's new test is more accurate, but numbers are still off"
http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/cars/new-cars/resource-center/fuel-economy/epa-mileage-figures/overview/0709_mpg_ov.htm

"With fuel economy becoming a bigger part of the modern customer's purchase criteria, having higher MPG numbers will obviously help to sell more cars. Although it doesn't happen very often, car companies have been caught inflating their MPG claims"

I read another article last week that was the most damning on the subject. But there are many out there.

Just to be honest, read this:
http://editorial.autos.msn.com/where-has-all-the-mileage-gone

Or Google something like: "why cars had better mileage tests in 1980's? "

So, concluding from articles from all those links, I was closer to the truth at my initial post, answering the question, why those older automobiles were more "efficient".

George Wiseman was doing over $50,000 in sales of his products per month.   He was not just selling an electrolysis based unit.  His best gas saving device does not use electrolysis but rather gas evaporization along with some other things that can double or even triple gas mileage.   That IMO is enough to get on the radar of Big Oil.   He had to stop selling the kits for this because they kept disappearing in the mail even after repeatededly resending them.  Only after insuring them and then filing a claim when they didn't show up would they then be delivered.   Also IMO you don't sell $50K per month of products unless people are having success with it.

Why is there not a shred of verifiable evidence that any of his devices resulted in any gas savings.  Is there a single person out there with one of his devices who has published his results and had these reviewed and replicated?

Because they've all been suppressed, of course. The absence of such reports proves that Wiseman's claims are true.

Doesn't it?
:P

I think you are right.  Come to think of it, I have been a victim of suppression myself.  Whenever I brush my teeth and I put on substantially less toothpaste than they tell you to in the commercials, I get the toothpaste company goons at my door.
