Here's the problem with politics in as far as I can tell all of our western countries, not just the U.S.. The problem is the two major party system. How would it be possible for anyone for any person who is not a member of one of the two main parties to be the president/prime minister or whatever ? Can an independent form government and become the president ? And even if they could and wanted to do the right thing how could we protect them from the coercion or threats from the big money people trying to control them ?

I think an independent citizen committee should be elected/formed in each local area/county or whatever as a counter government and this citizen committee should be able to say no to anything the Feds propose, as in "no that is unacceptable you cannot do it, rethink that". The for and against votes would be free of state grouping, meaning each local area's vote counts. The individual states laws ect. would not be affected by this citizen committee. ie. Rather than needing a referendum on any particular propositions "big cost" each local area can have a say, reducing the number of votes to thousands rather than millions, it could act as a circuit breaker between the people and the Feds. Hopefully allowing the States more self determining powers.

It is almost funny.  What you describe is what the constitution says should happen.  The states have the power to govern their own people the way they see fit.  In other words, CA can have a law that NY does not have, etc.  It is all about states rights.  It has only been lately, in my lifetime, that the feds are attempting to control everything.

The founding fathers knew that the best folks to make laws were the folks at the local level.  They tried to limit the power of the federal government which has been usurped over the years and, thanks to Obama, has been run over like a rabbit on the highway.

The founding fathers were smart enough to let the people decide if the constitution needs to be altered in some way or another. It was by design a work in progress, not the holy scripture, not the final word. But changing it is a difficult and lengthy process, at least until you have voted in total jackasses who legalize torture and piss on basic human rights.

The Idaho story was great but, the middle school story really scares me.  "They" have taken over the education of our kids and they will now grow up thinking that only the government can have guns.  This is really sad.

The two capital letter state abbreviations which are used
in all legal documentation (in addition to postal addresses)
are another example of legislative deception.

CA and NY are the legal abbreviations for the federal
(THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA and THE STATE OF NEW YORK.)
corporations which have usurped the original state governments.

Calif. and N.Y., the abbreviations of the Republic States, have
been replaced by Federal Abbreviations so that all who make
use of them effectively admit that they are U.S. Residents of
the District of Columbia.  It was all done in plain sight but made
to appear as if it was just an innocent enhancement of the
postal zone states as a convenience to all postal customers.

Republic State Citizens no longer know who they are or that
they even exist...
