So first let me introduce you, I'm a young French trying to reproduce simple devices, which would like to share with you, if successfully realized. Please apologize about my English which isn't perfect.

Now, I've seen a lot in this forum, and should probably thanks you about all of those useful informations.

So why this post ? I think wee need more informations about that. Also it takes me a lot of times to find about that. I know, there is one design which is "popular" with one point friction : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eggfplU7Abw & similar device : http://www.grc.nasa.gov/WWW/spacemech/workshop02/mag-brg.html

This design is interesting, but in reality I think a full magnetic frictionless bearing would be very useful for some purpose (horizontal or vertical).

So, it's my early first thoughts sketch (remade in computer) : (http://s29.postimg.org/cumeo6787/Map.png)

I don't know if it works, I will be interested about your advice.
Also only after drawing this idea (a few days after), I've managed to find some useful informations :

I've tested a few designs in FEMM 4.2 (but dont know if I've doing right, zip file attachment) :

So my goal is something frictionless but realizable with just a low load "bedini motor" (also slow speed like 1000 rpm). I know that radially magnetized magnet are pricey and very difficult to find, also there's an alternative which consist to build with an radial magnet array arrangment : http://www.etotheipiplusone.net/pics/sc2/sn_wheelmotor15.jpg

What do you think about all of that ? Anyone have already made one of those ?

Others sketches I've made today, probably it's joking not working ideas. I should try with real reproductions.
