i was going to say that the reason it was out of phase was because of the placement of the coil?  i.e it was outside with the other inside -
but that is then not consistent with the tape head also??

i think the center field is split down the dead center of the inside of the primary coil but i don't think the next test will show that because it will pick up a NS field that flows through the center of the core on the little inductor you send down there.

so it will maybe be similar to when you put a coil in a coil on the other designs?
