λ = wavelength, which can be chosen in so many ways! 2*pi*F= 1/sqrt(L*C) is one way. What are you doing, you should know all of this allready shouldnt you?
The Mr Preva Experiment is one method of producing a standing wave when you have tuned for resoance!
You should know this already, especially after lecturing on how you dont need tutorials on electronics!

Each wave has a C component, the speed of Light, its there no matter what. Two equal and opposite Waves still have a C Component, but C + -C = 0, so they write 1 in the equations or leave it out all together! This is called a Standing Wave. Equal and opposite.
