Making a magnetic shield is difficult. This research in Germany might hold some useful clues

Hi Mark,
Effective magnetic shielding and its functional meanings is much dependent on your viewing angle.
The terminology can confuse and give the wrong impression.  They are all diversion materials.

In Magnetics,
The target object might be shielded but the shield and magnetic source are in full attraction

In Electric fields,
The target object might be shielded but the faraday cage has now become the discharge target

The desired magnetic shield would be the shield that does not react to the magnetic field and does not allow penetration either.
That would be a find !!
