The Alexanderson Antenna is an early form of directed beam
antenna.  At the low frequencies such antennae are massive
and cover much ground.  The Rhombic is another such antenna
which is much easier to construct but also which covers much
ground at the lower frequencies.

There is no Magic in the antenna.
