What video are you refering to? Because there are 4 or 5 videos of Don Smith.
Are you refering to magnetic flux and the spin?

Two Emdrive reactors mounted sideways on the ends of a rotor arm may reach any size due to the break even deal on the input recovery. We can run any amount of power through this kind of Emdrive loop reactor, with virtually no rise in input costs. The rotor would achieve hypersonic speeds in a vacuum, while self-looped. Sets of them could be phased to supply constant output.

Personally, the videos of the plasma ball don't excite me very much.

A high voltage oscillator is ionizing the gas.  This oscillator easily couples to the surrounding coil or the LED lamp's internal wiring, just like the popular Slayer exciter.  In other words, I don't think that the plasma itself is needed for this effect. 
If you measure with an oscilloscope and a purely resistive load a power which is anywhere close to the power being drawn by the batteries, then yes, it is something special.
