Very interesting, both.


In the first one you may just rectify the ambient charge fluctuations with a schottky bridge, would be interesting to see what the magnetic ambient interferences makes out of it.
If you by vibration reduce the gap by half, the capacitance is doubled.


I personally failed to extract significant energy from a dynamicly alternating capacitance, but my test was crude, with relays at low speed. I have however read papers from various sides, confirming the possibility.
