...can be a short description,of a flip-flop pendulum(spinning steel-yard) that intends to get a continuous motion from a gravity flow.The natural analogy can be the notable rolling wave coming up a gradually sloping sandy beach.The well known curl of a breaking wave is associated worldwide with surfing.We think about collecting power.An usual pendulum acts as a gravity fall/wave quantifier(his length) and reflector movement(in the same way as light in a mirror).Wave breaking as full pendular fall is always a non-linear process and therefore difficult to describe analitically:it's better to understand in a pragmatic mode.So,let's think about a solid-state curling gravity fall/wave, so to collect the "splashing" energy  ,comparable to this fluid-state curling wave off the coast.A longer fall time action(charge1 for 180 *+charge2 for 180*-270*)/that's "curling effect" and a shorter rise time reaction(discharge 270*-360*) that overlaps the next revolution movement...a real loop?!A kind of "twist and turn" of a pendular arrangement.Curling,coiling,winding,spiraling a gravity fall so that reaction partially intersects action so to get a dynamic ring movement?The most beautiful experience we can live is the joy of mysteries...so many around us.All the Bests!

...is "falling chimney effect"(search on net this  by-word).We have a ball placed at one end of an  uniform stick,which is pivoted at the other end, and makes initially an angle of about 30* with the horizontal.If the elevated end of the stick is suddenly dropped,together with the ball,we can notice something ,a behaviour worlds apart to our perception,intuition:the falling end of the stick accelerates at a greater rate than the free falling ball,proving that the his acceleration is greater than "g".It's a classic lab physics demo,also...but the real phenomenon it's more impressive.Thinking of that,we must take into account the bending moment(to "pick up" it,as a possible "gain") for a high structure(self-spinning pulsatory lever/"steel-yard/flip-flop... type).Visiting the site of Aldo Costa(France) I was amazed!Enormous work and monumental divination of a conviction,ever made by a man.His concise design,as a wholly is a wheel.Would-be he in mind,two-spokes/lever,only and the free fall "potential" of that...as Shakespeare said "To climb steep hills requires slow pace at first".All the Bests!/Alex
