Im still going forward with the speakers for the most part here as with them we can increase the eff by increasing the number of drivers, but also we can obtain even more eff at particular freq of operation by adding resonance to the mix. With motors we would most likely have to work with some AC motors and try to add resonance to them for a possible resonance gain there like the speakers can do. But Im sure it can be worked out..  Teslas Pierce Arrow had a large AC electric motor. Its very possible he had resonance gain happening there in the motor itself.
