This motor has brushes, and essentially operates
On two parallel coils.
The commutator makes and breaks parallel circuit
With the primary coil, to provide motive force
By the interaction of the two opposing fields.


The diodes at the switch-box, rectify a/c mains
from the line in (green digital watt meter)
into DC voltage to power the motor.
Can't really see, but it looks like the power strip
is also in parallel to the coils.


Because of the inductive drain through the inverter
(simplified inverter)
There is a power-factor involved.
With a solid dc source, you would see current spikes
on a scope, every time the commutator switches.


the a/c requires waveform analysis and pfc
to determine the 'actual load'.
The new "smart meters" can actually detect this and if
the meter thinks too much power is inductive ghost-power
it will automatically correct the reading on the meter.

Hi justawatt. I personally am not very knowledgeable about electric motors.

That group is interesting however as they also have a small solid state device which
they claim is over unity, and it appears to be self running in their video demos:

Although a few of them at least appear to be Russian, for some reason they are based in South Korea.

I've seen that infinitsav device before.  I recognize two of the circuit boards in the box.  One is a DC-DC standard boost converter.  The other is a DC-AC inverter that boosts low voltage DC to high voltage AC.   The bottom board though appears to be their own design and I assume from the video that shows it alone that is where the magic happens.  Interesting circuit if it's real.   Unfortunately they don't seem to be selling them yet and are looking for investors
