I would state the obvious...
You didn't think the population, consumption and the economy could just keep growing indefinitely did you?.

Thus it should have been obvious to any rational mind that as the growing population consumes and destroys more and more resources it must eventually reach a tipping point and collapse. Unrestrained capitalism was basically designed to promote unsustainable growth to benefit those living within a 100 year period at the expense of everyone else's future.

I understand many think it's normal until we actually think about what were doing. What do you call a person who knows we have finite resources yet intends to consume all of them as fast as they can for profit until they are all gone or destroyed. There is only one term which fully describes them and that is the term... Suicidal. This is true because only a suicidal person would take action knowing it will lead to there and there children's premature death.

So there you have it, its not the economy it's the fact were living with billions of suicidal people hell bent on destroying themselves and everything around them. Which ultimately leads to the only rational question that matters, do you honestly think we can change the minds of  billions of suicidal people?... I'm thinking no.

In my opinion the only term which adequately captures the extent of insanity we see out there is... brace for impact.

I think this will become the new normal and most scientists will simply give up trying to enlighten the ignorant masses that first there is a problem and second that something can be done about it. Most intelligent people are starting to understand that the terminally misguided cannot change and there is little we can do to keep them from destroying themselves and the planet.

The unavoidable truth is that there have been five extinction level events which have occurred in the past and we are about to enter the sixth. Thus, I think the time for trying to coddle misguided people and convince them of the facts and that change is possible has long since past. They made there bed and very soon they will to forced to lie in it.

Recent research suggests that human societies will experience
disruptions to their basic functioning within less than ten years due to
climate stress. Such disruptions include increased levels of malnutrition,
starvation, disease, civil conflict and war – and will not avoid affluent
nations. This situation makes redundant the reformist approach to
sustainable development and related fields of corporate sustainability that
has underpinned the approach of many professionals (Bendell et al, 2017).
Instead, a new approach which explores how to reduce harm and not make
matters worse is important to develop. In support of that challenging, and
ultimately personal process, understanding a deep adaptation agenda may
be useful.

I could say something about this. Not that it really matters as very few get what is going on. And its not always as it appears to be. Lastly again not that it matters as they will do it regardless who knows or understand whats going on. Anyway way what all this is about and its been going on for a few decades now, its a work in progress to an ultimate goal. The goal is to eventually move to a cashless society. Its not really about getting rid of money or collapsing the system so to speak. But when the world moves to a cashless society that will give those in control even more control as everything can be added, subtracted at the push of a button so to speak. Money will be far more easier to just make up out of thin air this way then needing to print it. See how all that works. It will still allow the rich or those in control to get richer while at the same time giving them control of everyone elses money. Since it all will be virtual then. So it has up sides and down sides so to speak but most of the up sides favor the rich or those in power, but its always been that way anyway. And thats what this kind of stuff is all about. It was never about collapsing the world or economy or anything like that, however they may go as far as to cause such if thats the only way they can get it all to go to a cashless society. I did say may go that far, hopefully it wont take that route least such cause a lot of suffering to people. Either way they will do this and have been nudging it all in that direction for decades now. And everyone will have to follow along with it as cash will have no value when this is all said and done. Only their virtual money will have value. And it can be created or destroyed or sent anywhere almost instantly as again it all will just be virtual or in a computer program. And if you did not know, it is those in control or the rich who choose who will be rich or who will have any control, see how that works. Very few every make it past them into wealth and power. Only when they let it happen for whatever reasons does it happen, thats just how the world is now days sadly.
