onepower - I'm sure you are familiar NaCl ? sodium chloride - table salt.   It has chlorine in it along with sodium.  Separately they are both very dangerous.   But together I'm sure you ingest some every day.   I don't drink tap water either - to avoid the chlorine and other junk in it but I will certainly take sodium chlorite if my life is in danger from a deadly pathogen like the coronavirus. 

Well said and the form and volume of any given substance have different results. I read a lack of NaCl can kill us and so can too much however in moderation it is beneficial like many things. Personally I prefer a more natural solution and try to eat right and exercise more often to keep healthy. I was lucky to grow up on a farm exposed to a dirty environment which now provides myself and my family with a fairly robust immune system. We seldom if ever get sick and have never taken any medication other than Tylenol for a headache every now and then.

I see many people taking drugs and the side effects are most often worse than the problem the drug was supposed to help moderate. I can't tell you how many people I have told to stop taking there supposed "medication" and they soon felt better... go figure.

Around 25% of the SARS patients who were cared for at a military hospital in Beijing after discharge showed remaining lung structure changes in the sense of pulmonary fibrosis . 40 patients had a measurable diffusion capacity disorder of the lungs. This improved spontaneously in half of those affected.
The radiological lung fibrosis also showed an improvement in the one-year follow-up period, but did not disappear completely in all patients. There was an improvement in the lung damage to the patients who had radiologically detectable residuals of the disease when they healed. After a year, however, there was a plateau phase with mild restrictive disorders and diffusion disorders . The femoral head necrosis observed in the previous post-treatment studies was seen as a late consequence of steroid therapy as part of the treatment of SARS.
