New topics for 2020

This is a wonderful idea right out of the gate. So many peeps have been driven off and ridiculed  to the point of never sharing anything more. In fact they have refused flatly any more contact. I dread the day that I have to share a breakthrough. I am not one to handle direct attacks well.

I just got through checking into Scientific Linux to see what the new release was all about. It was created by Fermi Labs as a tool for them to log and communicate their findings with. I was appalled to see that it was made mandatory that the machine it ran on was considered a "federal computer" and so it was and all on it could be viewed and copied by the gov. Wanted to try and set up a regulated place to share findings and convey any disagreements in a fashion that was conducive to seeking out the truth. That was a big loss for all of us.


The constant attacks that have been the norm can not bring on positive directions in whatever topic being discussed. When I see 5 peeps ganging up on one person, it distracts from moving forward.


One other point I would like to foster, if someone is going to replicate a design, follow the design and not just throw together a build with what is at hand. You are just sealing your failure before you start. So many builds have nothing in common with the original.

Lets try to keep Motivation High, keep others wanting to be involved and participate!

Stefan, Chet and I, together we can stop the slander and bullying, personal attacks and harassment! Then progress can occur! Working together for a common goal! Its so important right now!

I have thick skin, but enough of the above, can get at those even with thick skin!

Exactly! Yes, there must be a level of replication that must match the actual initial design goals, or failure will be evident! Lets all help each other and get this ball rolling!

I know in the past some members were moderated due to a big issue occurring. If you want to be part of this, you have two options, either PM Stefan, Chet or myself and we will try to organise your moderation be removed. Or if you wish, become a member on my forum! I will be there and here. My team come first, but I will help everyone where I can! We need as many as we can get onto this!

I like this idea very much.  I have one suggestion.  I am not sure how this could be implemented but I think anytime a builder starts a thread about what he or she is working on they should be given moderator status for that thread.  I have seen so many threads derailed by nitpickers and naysayers that the builder just gives up and goes away.  If a builder knows he is going to have some control over the thread he is starting then I think most builders would be more likely to want to share what they are working on.


I don't know if the forum software could be adapted for this section so a thread starter is automatically the moderator or if you would need to appoint someone you trust with the ability to give the thread starters moderator privileges.

There is only a need to moderate under several situations:

   1: Haters come and post unnecessary posts that have no bearing on the topic at hand!
   2: Doubters come and distract / detract from the topic at hand!
   3: Slanderous or bemeaning posts towards others that are unnecessary!

No need to explain Jimboot,

You have to do what you have to do!

Testing leads to failure, and failure leads to understanding.


Research should be defined as, doing something, where half of the people think its impossible, impossible! And half of them think, ehr, maybe that will work.


When there's ever a break through, a true break through, you can go back, and find a time period when the consensus was, well that's non-sense! So what that means, is that a true creative researcher, has to have confidence in non-sense!

Healthy debate is encouraged, time wasters and distractors to be moderated. The goal, again, is to keep a focus on progress. No Bullying, no Slander, we want to make it safe for people to join in and make progress without being harassed.

Its all about an Understanding.
