It certainly looks valid.   However while I thought it was valid initially I am editing this post as there are people saying it is fake elsewhere.   I was trying to download Netscan X but found the only way to get it from NetscanX website involves signing up at another website and giving them your credit card.   I had a prepaid Visa with a couple bucks on it but they won't accept that so screw them.   The ton of youtube replies saying it works below the video sound all sort of scripted.   If you are willing to use a credit card then you could try.  I did find some downloads of Netscan X on APK sharing sites but after running virustotal on them they seem to have a trojan or two or other malware.   I might try one on an old android phone just for fun but it's not looking good overall.

BTW getting into DFU mode if I recall is somewhat tricky in that it involves exact timing of button hold and releases to achieve.  I'd keep trying to get into DFU mode.

Lots of info if you google how to get into DFU mode - here's a couple posts - note slight difference in time to hold down buttons:


Connect the device to a computer using a USB cable.
Hold down both the Side button and Volume Down button.
After 8 seconds, release the Side button while continuing to hold down the Volume Down button. ...
Nothing will be displayed on the screen when the device is in DFU mode.



Getting into DFU mode, as you can probably guess, also requires a change. Step 1: Connect your iPhone 7 to your Mac or PC with a Lightning to USB cable. Step 2: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Volume Down button simultaneously for 10 seconds.

BTW the supposed 'Netscan X' app I found on a couple android file share sites is totally fake.  It is nothing but an app downloader and probably has a trojan in it.
