I like Igor's contraption, but do not understand how he made it work. What is under the table?
I suspect it is a magnet on an arm moving in a circle exactly underneath the round track (fixed to the underside of the table). The arm is driven by an electric motor. This moving magnet drags the steel balls round and round. Therefore the movement of the steel balls is so uniform.
Of course I do not know, it is a guess. It might be done more cleverly.
I also like the nice 3D-printed parts.
