This has already been discussed. I summarized it in few words... two distinct kinds of induction are observed, one weaker which cannot be screened except with iron and another that can be screened by any metal. He concludes sudden breaking of contact produces both kinds of induction and that this mysterious first type is akin to induction produced by motion.

Hello everyone,
Can you please help me what is meant by the "feedback coil" (feedback oscillator ) that should be used to control the coil C? (as written by Fernandez in the Egg.pdf file). By what is this coil driven?
