if I need to seal them I think I will powder coat them, any tried that?

Power coat jes the edges?  Sealing refers to preventing amp leakage around the sides of the cell, forcing more current to crack more water.   I don't know of any benefit in coating the entire plate; unless that stuff is conductive y'all might be greatly reducing output.

But I guess ye could try it, then we'd all know <grin>

not the whole thing, just 1/8 on the edge, its really pretty easy to powder coat with accuracy, theres tape for masking just like painting.
