IH, It would be helpful if someone would post some basic info on cells. acronems (sp) cell types / designs/ configurations. what has been discoverd already, that really makes a cell proform. Basic elements of safty, Ie:
bubler, I think that helps seperate your cell from the potential of back flame? scrubber, helps remove moisture from the gas? What does a nuetral plate do? what does unipolar electrodes mean? ect.

I have seen some info on how to plum a cell into your car, thanks IH. safty considerations, like hho safe one way valve on the brake booster, thanks. ect. I know you all have alot of info.

if we could put in the begining of this thread it would help people like me, that are conection speed challanged.

I know it can be time consuming, just rounding up the info already on this thread, not to mention all the other basic info that would help me to more fully understand everything.

Ih on the patent that i posted, did you see anthing about how much gass is produced? If fairly high it would be of benifit to examine more closley why there is not excess heat, I assume low amps, low heat. It would be nice not to have a cooling system to install. food for thought.

Played some more today with the neon transformer, but no positive results yet.  Then I wanted to verify that a closed cell would produce more.  When closed it really sizzled.  I will start making one when I get the plates.

take a look at the cell on the right, pressure forced the solution down about 1/2 inch

the cell was making that sizzle sound we all like to hear and there was a lot of vapor flying off.  To me that proves that sealing a cell is worth it.  But,,,,,those plates were laying on top of and touching the neutral plates and also touching the negative plate.  Did that ruin the test?

Having the conductive plates on the top eliminated the center from being active, in a way yes it made the cell into a 9 plate system, instead of all the plates.

By the way, just to let you guys know, I think my nieghbors are behind me 100%. I was test burning some hho and they came out to admire my progress. I even got the sheriff to do a fly by to show their support. It really makes a difference when you know they people around you are glad you are working on such a noble pursuit.

I'd like to recap here some of what the experimental test cell has taught me so far.

A) It is reasonably accurate to say that gas production is proportional to wattage input (I x E) for a given concentration of electrolyte.

B) Increasing temp and/or raising the electrolyte concentration increases conductivity (lowers resistance) between plates.

C) Increasing conductivity proportionally increases gas production efficiency (i.e. 2x the conductivity, 1/2 the wattage to produce the same gas volume).

Consider now the test experiments we've seen with perpendicular plates at close spacing. Impressive gas from a small point at low wattage. Some have also reported that tilting some neutral plates away from parallel in a typical s-cell vastly increases their gas production.

Add this all up and think about how it might be applied to the s-cell in general. Specifically I'm thinking about the corrugated plates design. But, unlike the patent drawing, I would orient the plates such that they would not stack neatly, instead so that the points of the pleats were opposite each other at close proximity. This would allow for high gas production where the points nearly meet and high fluid exchange rate through the vertical channels in between and higher plate surface area overall. Wattage input would be a mystery until one of us finds a way to procure corrugated SS to test with.
