Measure the resistance of the cell and match that with a inductor/choke?

ohms law

E = IR

E = Electric Potential (Voltage) (Volts)
I = Current (Amps)
R = Resistance (Ohms)

Voltage is directly proportional to both current and resistance. If you raise current and/or Resistance, Voltage raises as well.

If you increase the resistance of the cell and hold the current, the voltage will increase.
It?s easier to be forgiven than it is to get permission....

Besides, the electrolyte heated up rapidly. I didn't measure the temperature but it was vey hot. Will it reach a certain degree (ie 180F) and keep unchange? Otherwise, it goes straight boiling and water vapour mixes with HHO.

Ah..... I have tried NaOH and table salt as well. However, the bubbles were smaller and rate of HHO production was lesser than KOH. After using table salt for sometime, the pH of electrolyte went up from 7 to 12. I thought chloride left as chlorine gas and this produced a by-product, OH-.

This is what I have done in these few days and I would like to share with you guys!

Ok first off what did I say about using salt. If one of you guys dies or get sick over this , where will that leave the rest of us. Do you think we will continue these endeavors on this forum ? Follow instructions or do it on your own ! I will not be held responsibly for you getting sick because you poisoned yourself nor will anyone else here. Do you understand the massive amount of chlorine gas that you produce using salt will stay air born in your home or lab until you fully  vent/ cycle all of the air out of your work/living area?

With that out of the way .
I am now suppose to think you build the cell the way I have layed out here? After you have not followed instruction about salt .
Have you followed instruction on charging the cell?
How did you build the cell , what kind of glue did you use?
Did you use 316 stainless and is the case Acrylic or Teflon or Ploy ?
What is the wire gauge used in your cell ?

Show some pics so we can see whats going on here.

Sorry to be so harsh guys ,but  if we were on level 5 or 6  these kinds of mistakes can really hurt you . You not producing much yet . But when you do lets leave the unsafe,
practices at a zero factor shall we ? Or someone here is going to blow them selfs up in the near future or worse.

I am testing H2O electrolysis for few months only and I need to learn more from your hardwork. Thank you for your suggestion and safe reminder. I will practise it in the safe way and try to fit all the requirements. Anyway, I am willing to accept opinions. Please don't mind my participation in your discussion even I am not knowlegable enough. I would like to give more information for your analysis in the following.
I used a pair of scissors to cut the 316 SS plates in 2"X2" for neutral and 2"X3" for postive and negative. There were 17 plates +nnnnnnn-nnnnnnn+. The plates separation was 0.25". I used acrylic plates to cover the vertical surfaces of the cell. I used acrylic plates glue ( not marine verion) that the acrylic plates selling shop gave me. 18 awg wire was used. It is about 1mm in diameter. Moreover, I used table salt and NaOH in the begining (few months ago). Now, I only used KOH to increase the conductivity.
I am sorry I don't have a digital camera and I will borrow one for the coming experiments. I can carry out my experiment in a chemical fume hood. It is better to avoid hydrogen explosion or toxic gas. Thanks!

Hey Teach... <raising hand> I've caught up to the group, ran my cell through the breakin. Used Spring water with a mere pinch of NaOH, Cell is constructed from Clear Acrylic, diced up wire ties as spacers, Dble'd up, .192 spacing between plates.
Current arrangement is: +nnnnnnnn-nnnnnnnn+
Also, I started at 24vdc since I've got a few more plates I wanted to make sure I had the minimums covered.

IH, i noticed that you went through a plate polarization process earlier.  Is that trying to achieve something similar to the joe cell and turn it into a big capacitor with a lot of surface tension with the idea of creating what they call a breeder cell?, or is this a method to get it started easier and insure each cell is working together?
