@HHD - Really nice. What are you using for electrolyte? Tap, spring or distilled? How much current? How many plates? Plate composition, dimensions and spacing? How much current and voltage?

Good job on your cell rapttor...
One thing to try is run the cell on 24 or 36 volts at 8amps. check to see if the temps rise. They probably won't.
With 100 - 118volts going into the cell temps will rise.

Using voltages around 1.24 volts your cell will not increase in heat. The heat gets obsorbed. This is a endothermic reaction. If you go over 1.24volts, you will make heat this is called a Exothermic reaction.

Now try and get the same output on less wattage than 800w..

Here's my cell running at 100Vdc @ just about 8A, the video quality sucks, I used my Cell phone to take it, I'll have to locate my webcam to take a better quality.
From room temp to Boil in about 3.5 to 4 minutes. Strange thing though, maybe you have some input I.H. But on my previous build, the current dropped as the temps went up, this one the current starts at 3A and builds to 8A. There's very very little NaOH in this maybe a 1/16 of a teaspoon.
